The Tremiti Islands are an archipelago of five islands in the Mediterranean Sea, in front of the Apulia region. So, you don't have many options to travel there: ferryboat or helicopter (more expensive but the view from above over the islands is worth the price!).
If you choose to take the ferryboat, you must know the two main companies which provide the service to the Tremiti Islands: Tirrenia and Navigazione Libera del Golfo. This two companies travel to the Tremiti Islands from Termoli (Molise) and from the Gargano (Vieste, Foggia and Rodi Garganico: Apulia). The ferry crossing lasts about an hour. Round-trip tickets cost about 45 € per person (During peak season, July and August, you should buy or book your tickets in advance calling the ticket office or buying them on the website of the companies; otherwise there could be none left for the day you chose!).
And while you're at it..you can't miss the opportunity of a boat tour of the achipelago entering the caves of the islands and seeing the statue of Padre Pio which lies under the sea.
I didn't know about the statue and the possibility of swimming there, so I didn't have my underwater mask...dang it! Anyway..there's a 52 € ticket which includes the round trip and the boat tour.
San Domino Island
San Domino Island is the biggest one of the archipelago and here you can find a small harbour. On this island there are many hidden inlets and coves you can reach only on foot going down rocky paths. But once you are there you can relax and enjoy the view of the sea.

San Nicola Island
The island of San Nicola is the second biggest of the archipelago and here you can visit an abbey located at the top of the island (to reach it you have to walk along the city walls and go up some stairs). From the abbey you'll have a great view of the archipelago.

Tips
Hotels and campings are on San Domino Island. On the Islands cars and motorcycles are not allowed (the islands are so small that actually you don't need them!), but you can rent bikes to go around.
On San Domino Island there are also beaches where you are going to be charged admission and you can rent beach umbrellas and sun loungers. However, I suggest you go around and find inlets and coves, so you can relax and enjoy the cristal-clear water of the sea. And don't forget your walking shoes to reach the inlets and sandals to walk on rocks!
